What did the vikings wear to battle?

Some of the things that the vikings wear to battle were helmets. The helmets signified that it was them. The helmets weighed like 10 pounds and the helments didn't really protect them. The helmets were mad in Sweden because some of the vikings lived there. Last they were seventh sentry helmet. Also they wore medal chest armor and on the armor it looked like they were built. Some of the chest plates had holders for knifes and swords that are quit interesting. The holders were mad out of gold and bronze. Gold meant that you were a leader and bronze meant that you were a sub leader that meant if the leader died you were to take his positions.
Some of the shoes that the vikings wore were like boots and klets. There was a mith that if the vikings steped on you, you would get the part that got steped on get cut off which is very weird because the viking couldent really step on people. Wow I think that mith was so weird. The vikings also had shin gaurds.
